Job Summary

Join the Indian Health Service (IHS) as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist and provide essential x-ray and mammography services that support timely diagnosis, breast cancer screening, and quality patient care. This position offers the opportunity to use both general radiography and specialized mammography skills while serving patients in a collaborative healthcare environment. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Key Responsibilities

Performing screening and diagnostic mammography examinations using specialized imaging equipment. Positioning patients to obtain diagnostic-quality mammography images while minimizing radiation exposure. Assisting with quality control activities, including equipment checks and documentation. Maintaining examination records and complying with mammography documentation requirements.

Requirements & Education

This position has an education requirement. You are strongly encouraged to submit a copy of your transcripts or a list of your courses including titles, credit hours completed, and grades. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted in the application package. Official transcripts will be required from all selectees prior to receiving an official offer. Only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S.
