Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Direct Hiring Authority - Supervisory Civil Engineer working in Yakima, WA for Pacific Northwest Region. Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Responsible for the direction and supervision of all field engineering activities required for data collection, demolition, coordination, and construction for projects within the assigned area. Responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the engineering oversight and field inspection of contractor operations involving a wide variety of construction activities. Reviews construction inspection and progress reports showing work accomplished by the contractor during the shift and reflecting such items as quantities of materials placed, equipment installed, instructions given to the contractor, problems encountered, and related information. Ensures that field inspection procedures are correctly followed, that work performed under contract conforms to specifications, and that approved engineering practices and procedures are followed on all assigned construction activities. Resolves conflicts arising from discrepancies between Reclamation and contractor data regarding progress payments.
