SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Director of Academic Operations / Executive Vice Provost, principal advisor, and administrator to the Joint Special Operations University President, Vice President, Provost, and Dean of Faculty and Academic Affairs on all matters relating to policy, partnerships, and resourcing (human and financial), creating and leading strategies to foster and facilitate all research, academic offerings, and outreach activities of the University as a Direct Reporting Educational Activity to the Commander USSOCOM for the Global Special Operations Enterprise in accordance with guidance from the Secretary of Defense and Combined Joint Chiefs of Staff.
DUTIES: Provide leadership and oversight in the development of strategies, plans, and policies to support academic research, modulization of curriculum, and strategic partnerships. Creates the legal documentation necessary for JSOU academic partnerships and commercial agreements. Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Joint Special Operations University. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Incumbent is responsible to ensure the core classified national information protection security disciplines of information are fully covered from a policy and programmatic viewpoint to ensure overall information protection requirements meet mission requirements.
