This position is located in the Division of Administration, Facilities and Property Branch. The incumbent is responsible for storage coordination and space utilization, and conference room setups, as well as shipment and receiving of product and mail, bulk items, office supplies and equipment for the NLRB Headquarters and offices throughout the US. The incumbent also provides support for storage and distribution warehouse facilities, principally handling office equipment, supplies and furniture.
As a, Distribution Facilities Specialist, GS- 2030-9, your typical work assignments may include: Ensures mission operations work concerned with receiving, handling, storage, issuing, conference room set up, and physically controlling items in storage; Analyzes and plans workload data and recommends priorities and distribution of resources, including labor and equipment for assigned organizational areas; Resolves inadequacies of mechanized and materials handling equipment, physical facilities, work methods and techniques, and other operation deficiencies that prevent proper receipt, handling, and physical control of material; Participates in organizing, planning, and conducting studies related to problems or areas of concern, including bin and bulk storage space and receiving and shipping functions; Corresponds with agency employees and vendors to ensure that work and supply requests are complete and assists with ensuring that a property inventory of all accountable assets in the warehouse is conducted annually.
