As a Division Director, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all acquisition management activities throughout PBS. Location of position: General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Office of Acquisition Management. We are currently filling two vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Provides procurement policy guidance, oversight and support to PBS organizations for services and construction acquisitions. Develops long-range plans and sets program goals and objectives, taking into consideration change program emphasis or functions. Manage periodic reviews and evaluations of acquisition programs and effect changes to meet established goals.
As an expert in the contracting and acquisition area on contract law, acquisition regulations, and GSA acquisition policy, advises PBS acquisition personnel and management officials at all levels. Ensures that management controls and procedures are developed and implemented to achieve compliance with acquisition policies.
Identifies program strengths and weaknesses and determines the best avenues to promote efficiencies in the provision of services through PBS-initiated and managed contracts. Assures coordination among subordinate units and developing methods to improve such interaction among PBS divisions and employees. Monitors the contracting workload and the assignment and distribution of work and resources.
Ensures proper allocation of resources and workload to accomplish PBS program objectives. Directs the work of the associates through subordinate supervisors. Evaluates subordinate supervisors' work performance, reviews their evaluations of other employees.
