Job Summary

The United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida's mission is to enforce and defend the laws of the United States of America through the prosecution of criminal cases brought by the Federal government; the prosecution and defense of civil cases in which the United States is a party; and the collection of debts owed to the Federal government that are administratively uncollectible.

Key Responsibilities

This Docketing Technician (Office Automation) performs docketing and complex legal report development using computerized case tracking and record-keeping systems in the United States Attorneys Office (USAO). If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Docketing Technician (Office Automation) support in the U.S.

Attorney's Office, Southern District of Florida, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Fort Pierce, Florida; Miami, Florida; West Palm Beach, Florida, focusing in the areas of legal support. Typical work assignments will include: Maintains and extracts data from automated docketing databases and systems. Assists in troubleshooting systemic problems and recommending solutions. Provides legal support services to AUSAs.

Produces a variety of written documents and materials utilizing a wide range of office automation applications. Exercises confidentiality, tact, discretion and judgment in determining what information may be properly released. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
