The primary purpose of this position is to provide appropriate, specialized developmental care & instruction for children in the Child Development Center. oversight and supervision for a designated classroom for ages 6 weeks through 5 years.
The incumbent may be designated as the supervisor on duty, as needed, w Center (CDC) Director is not physically in the facility.
Designs, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive curriculum of developmentally appropriate activities and programs for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Conducts continuous health and developmental assessments of children. Develops and executes specialized intervention programs for children with special needs, including those with learning disabilities, disciplinary challenges, or gifted abilities.
Provides technical guidance, on-the-job training, and leadership to junior staff on program activities, safety protocols, and behavior management techniques.
