Job Summary

This position is located with Operations Control (TOOC) organization of Operations Support (TOO), Transmission System Operations (TO), Transmission Services (T), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). A successful candidate in the Electrical Engineer position will serve as a technical specialist responsible for determining and coordinating technical requirements for system operation and improvement of automatic generation control.

Major Duties

As an Electrical Engineer, you will: Determine and coordinate operational technical requirements for transmission of real time generation, load, and interchange data for automatic generation control. Analyze systems operation data networks and recommend changes in configuration and settings in coordination with other interconnection entities. Coordinate policy for access by other entities to BPA operational data by Inter-utility data exchange. Develop effective and innovative solutions as appropriate to addressing system operating problems or to provide enhanced system operability. Write procedures and instructions to assure reliable operation of the BPA and Western interconnection Act as spokesperson for assigned activities and serve as program liaison with other activities to ensure consistency of interpretation and implementation of the programs.
