Job Summary

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in the Operational Infrastructure and Facility Services at Munro (JOH), Operational Services (JO), Chief Information Office (J). A successful candidate in this position will serve as a technical specialist and network engineer providing electronics engineering expertise to operate, maintain, modify, integrate, and document Munro Control Center network systems.

Key Responsibilities

As an Electronics Engineer, you will: Serve as an expert advisor or consultant to other engineers and technical personnel in resolving difficult operational, maintenance, and functional problems involving network systems in the Munro Control Center. Analyze and correct the impacts system configuration and design can have on performance, reliability and maintainability of the system.

Design, install, and document hardware changes to correct recurring failures, to improve performance, to increase capacity or to meet new operational requirements. Create process standards and system configuration standards to leverage a consistent and reliable maintenance structure, which would increase system uptime while reducing support costs. Devise and schedule preventative maintenance programs that ensure availability of the on-line control systems.

Develop and implement test and integration plans for new systems. Develop, implement, and maintain a viable cyber protection scheme on control center systems by implementing polices system and processes pertaining to user profiles, anti-virus, and system patching schemas.
