This vacancy is for an Electronics Technician in the National Telecommunications and Information Administration within the Department of Commerce.
Key Responsibilities
As a Electronics Technician, you will perform the following duties: Provide technical support in microwave, radar, and related technologies through waveguide design, layout, construction antenna fabrication and erection, and equipment installation maintenance and testing.
Provide technical support in measurement science, instrumentation design, development, repair, and testing; includes instrument calibration, modification, and operation, and the establishment of interconnection and interface techniques. Assemble electronic equipment & circuit boards. Operate measurement systems. Keep records of personal property, tracks its location, & excesses property no longer needed.
Ensure that physical structures/activities at the Table Mountain field site are being handled appropriately & in compliance with applicable rules, regulations & agreements. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Electronics Technician ZT-0856-5, ZT-5 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
