The primary purpose of this position is: Serves as a Civil Engineering Project Manager that applies basic practical Civil Engineering knowledge to selected non-complex construction projects or portions of projects that include design, cost estimating, construction management of assigned projects.
Develops plans and specifications of a Civil nature to include drawings and/or sketches, cost estimates, and assembles proposal packages of related projects for new construction, renovations, alterations, maintenance and/or repair of various base facilities Technical expert in most aspects of civil applications associated with construction projects. Performs work in the construction management, design, and/or operations and maintenance (O&M) functions.
Keeps abreast of emerging technologies to ensure programmed development will not prematurely become obsolete. Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment. Provides technical assistance to other engineering technicians.
