Job Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia. Key Responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Environmental Health Scientist, you will: Consult with cooperative agreement recipients, lead Technical Project Teams, and work with subject matter experts to address public health implications of exposures to environmental contaminants.
Participate in the development of public health assessments, consultations, and/or related activities concerning potential or actual adverse health effects associated with exposure to chemicals and hazardous substances. Provide guidance on evaluating the public health impacts of human exposure to harmful substances in the environment.
Participate in public meetings, workshops, webinars, and committee meetings that relate to hazardous substance exposure, environmental, or public health issues.
Requirements & Education
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
