WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Epidemiologist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Lead and conduct complex epidemiologic studies and surveillance activities by designing studies, analyzing public health issues, evaluating epidemiologic methods, and developing procedures to improve data quality and study implementation.
Provide scientific consultation and technical assistance to federal, state, local, and other public health organizations on complex epidemiologic investigations, surveillance systems, and public health research activities. Analyze, interpret, and disseminate epidemiologic research findings by preparing scientific reports, manuscripts, publications, and presentations for professional audiences and peer-reviewed journals.
Translate epidemiologic evidence into public health practice by collaborating with internal and external partners to apply research findings, improve prevention strategies, and support public health decision-making.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
