The Equal Employment Specialist is responsible for administering a variety of assignments in support of the Smithsonian's EEO programs, including alternative dispute resolution (ADR), special emphasis programs (SEP), reasonable accommodations (RA), EEO training, affirmative employment, and the EEO discrimination complaint process. In this position, you will: · Assist with conducting requests for intakes; oversee and update complaint tracking database.
· Monitor complaints to ensure effective and efficient completion and takes appropriate actions to expedite complaint processing when necessary. · Assist in the coordination and implementation of the ADR program for workplace discrimination complaints. · Provide assistance with efforts to establish and maintain a model EEO program in accordance with EEOC and Smithsonian directives, including (but not limited to) proactively preventing unlawful discrimination.
