The Equal Opportunity Assistant will provide administrative support to the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and the nine community based outpatient clinics. Will be responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, directing and controlling the overall activities related to human resources activities, training, contraction, quality monitoring and compliance with applicable regulation or policy for EEO.
Provides technical assistance to the EEO Manager and assigned collateral duty personnel.
The incumbent actively participates in the development, monitoring the implementation the Affirmative Action Plan and Report of Accomplishment, the Federal Equal Opportunity Recruitment Plan (FEORP, the Annual Report for people with Disabilities Program, the Annual Report for Disabled Veterans (DVAAP), and the Plan on Initiatives to support historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (NACU).
Prepares recurring and special reports on status of informal complaints. Assist the EEO Manager in monitoring the EEO complaints to include analyzing and evaluating case strategy for early resolution and provide support to management in the preparation of legal recommendations to the Office or Resolution Management (ORM), Office of Employment Discrimination Complaints Adjudication (OEDCA) and Office of District Counsel.
Serves as Control Point coordinator for Interpreter services for the MEDVAMC contract. Serves as Control Point Coordinator for the financial operation of EEO Office, which includes assisting all Special Emphasis Program Managers with the financial responsibilities for program activities.
Responsible for analyzing the administrative workflow and problems to establish and develop operations procedures to ensure proper functioning of all organizational components of the Service Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (subject to change based on facility needs) Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
