This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBSA Lackland Outdoor Recreation. This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hrs/wk, may work up to 40 hrs/wk. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits. Frequently lifts and carries parts and assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds. Work is performed inside and outside. Requires bending, climbing, crawling, and working in tight spaces and awkward positions.
The purpose of this position is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in the performance of general inspection, maintenance, check-in and check-out, monitors inventory supply of parts, and cleaning of equipment. Assists patrons in all phases of safety regulations concerning the use of rental equipment. Helps make minor repairs on equipment. Reports equipment problems and failures to supervisors. Maintains maintenance records on all equipment, including inspections and repairs made. Performs a variety of simple, manual tasks involving the use of simple hand tools and equipment.
