The District Executive Director serves as the chief executive for an assigned geographical area embracing 12 VBA Regional Offices. Responsible for the effective management of the Veteran Benefits Administration program of benefits services. Reports to the Deputy Under Secretary for Field Operations on all matters of operations, resource distribution and management for field stations under the Continental District jurisdiction.
The position located in the Office of Field Operations, Veterans Benefits Administration and reports to the Deputy Under Secretary for Field Operations. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leading Regional Offices which provides benefits & services for Veterans, dependents, and beneficiaries. Establishing policies and procedures consistent with corporate VA guidelines. Providing executive leadership and direction to subordinate organizational units. Managing available financial and human capital resources (including presenting of regional budgets) Directing continuing programs for quality control in regional operations and implementing corresponding actions. Capturing changing needs of varying customers via outreach in Veteran communities, conventions, etc.
