The Information Assurance & Cyber Security Division (IACSD) is comprised of five branches with the common goal of protecting information, data source codes, and information systems against unauthorized access, unauthorized use, disclosure, disruption, unauthorized modification, or destruction.
The Executive Director for Information Assurance and Cyber Security Division (IACSD) in Information Technology (IT), Technology and Systems (TS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is responsible for TSA's cybersecurity strategy, policy, and operations for information technology.
High level duties include: Developing and implementing cybersecurity strategy and policy for all information technology within TSA under the auspices of the respective DHS framework. Responsible for security operations, oversight and governance of security authorization processes, and assuring compliance with Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA).
Overseeing the development of training plans for all security staff and provide ongoing guidance for all security staff. Overseeing the development and implementation of security tools and procedures to ensure the proactive protection of applications, networks, servers, workstations, and other information technology.
Securing the TSA information technology (IT) environment by assessing security risks and vulnerabilities and developing methods to deal with risks and vulnerabilities in a proactive manner. Managing the TSA Security Certification and Accreditation Program.
