As Executive Director, Planning, Program Analysis and Evaluation, in the Office of Field Operations (OFO), you will work directly with the Executive Assistant Commissioner and Deputy Executive Assistant Commissioner, OFO, in carrying out CBP's priority mission of securing our Nation's borders and protecting the United States homeland through the OFO Strategic Plan with its operational vision to: secure Ports of Entry where potential violators are deterred; intercept threats and inadmissible people, goods, and conveyances; facilitate legitimate trade and travel; and conduct consistent operations and outcomes.
You will work closely with senior leaders on program analyses, measures and trends, evaluations, strategic planning, and automation support. You will play a key role in the development and planning of the Administration's border control strategy that detects, deters, and prevents threats to our Nation through frontline Officers and Specialists.
You will oversee the development, review, and revision of OFO policies that are used by frontline Officers and Agriculture Specialists to perform daily operations to meet the mission and goals of CBP; develop business transformation initiatives and performance measurements that capture current operations and look at ways to harness frontline expertise to perform more effectively and expand technology utilization, processes, and resource utilization; and oversee the analysis of data for potential and actual integrity breaches to diminish corruption of frontline personnel and strengthen the inspectional program.
You will evaluate OFO programs for efficiency and effectiveness, and coordinate with senior managers on a range of national security issues related to the arrival and departure of persons, conveyances and merchandise at the Ports of Entry.
You will be responsible for the development and planning of the OFO Strategic Plan and the identification and initiation of budget requests that support strategic initiatives, to include technology, resources, and training in support of Ports of Entry and OFO employees. There is no education requirement for this position. You will be evaluated on the quality and extent of your total accomplishments and experience. Your resume will be evaluated by a rating and ranking panel, and highly qualified candidates may undergo an interview and a reference check. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection will review results and make recommendations on final selections to the appointing authority.
