The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as the Executive Support Specialist to facilitate tasks and provide administrative support to the HAF AF/A1C Directorate, Civilian Force Management.
Plans, organizes, and oversees workflow management for the Directorate of Civilian Force Management, proactively identifying and recommending process improvements. Reporting directly to the Senior Executive Service (SES) Director and SES Deputy Director, the incumbent serves as the primary point of contact for all staffing actions across the entire directorate. Provides comprehensive executive support to the Director, Deputy Director, and the broader directorate.
Because this role involves direct, immediate support to senior executives and the management of daily office operations, it requires physical, on-site presence at the traditional duty station. Regular remote or telework is not authorized. Effectively communicates complex information, concepts, and ideas in a confident, well-organized manner.
Expertly utilizes standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint) to successfully accomplish administrative, tracking, and workflow duties.
This job does not have an education qualification requirement or applicable education substitution for experience.

At the time the active duty member applies for a civil position, he or she must submit a "certification" memo in lieu of a DD-Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
Active duty members applying for a civil service position without submitting a valid certification memo or DD-Form 214 with their application will render the member ineligible for the position.
The certification memo must originate from the member's military service branch on official letterhead and contain the following: Name/Rank/Grade of Service Member Branch of Armed Forces Dates of Active Service (Start and End Date(s) Expected Date of Discharge/Release from Active Duty Terminal leave start date (if applicable) Expected character of service (honorable or general) and type of separation (i.e.
separation or retirement) Must be certified within 120 days of anticipated discharge Signature by, or by direction of the adjutant, personnel office, unit commander, or higher headquarters commander.
