THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a FABRICATION SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0789000 and is part of the IL 126, National Guard.
As a FABRICATION SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), WS-3401-10- you will supervise workers, either directly or through one or more subordinate leaders and/or supervisors, in accomplishing the operations of a distinct organizational unit and to perform associated nonsupervisory work. Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Plan weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations. Establish deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies. Recommend and participate in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies. Set performance requirements and make formal and informal performance appraisals. Counsel employees on problems. Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures. Instruct subordinates on new procedures or methods and provide assistance on difficult or new problem areas. Note and investigate work related problems and independently implement corrective actions which can be taken without affecting work operations controlled by other supervisors. Assure that equipment and materiel is available when needed. Implement safety regulatory requirements.
