This position is part of the Office of Management, Department of Energy. As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will perform Quality Assurance Inspections of some aspects of a large multi-million dollar per annum facilities management contract that includes operation and maintenance of building systems.

Veterans shape the future of energy As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will: Inspect facilities, building systems, and contractor work to identify deficiencies, verify compliance with requirements, and initiate corrective action.
Plan and coordinate facility operations, maintenance, repairs, alterations, construction, and other building services to meet operational requirements with minimal disruption. Develop facility contract requirements and provides technical oversight of contractor performance, deliverables, schedules, and work progress.
Analyze facility operations and building requirements, resolves operational problems, develops cost estimates, and recommends improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Respond to facility emergencies and coordinates with management, contractors, customers, and other organizations to maintain safe and continuous building operations.
Acquire property, supplies, and facility services using authorized procurement methods and maintains required purchasing, funding, invoice, and procurement documentation.

The posted pay range is $102415 – $133142/yr.
This position is eligible for telework.
This position requires a Q Access Authorization security clearance.
