This position is part of the Western Power Administration (WAPA). As a Facility Operations Specialist, with responsibilities in the areas of Facilities and Operations Management, Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP), Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP), Performance Work Statement (PWS) development and Contract Officer Representative (COR) duties and analysis work in all areas of Facilities Maintenance.
As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will: Develops annual and long-term comprehensive program of facility maintenance and repair for assigned facilities, which includes assets life cycle replacement. Modifies plans as required to respond to changing and unpredictable demands for services and the need for unscheduled maintenance due to worn and overtaxed facilities.
As a Facilities Subject Matter Expert (SME) develops reports and plans as needed regarding Facilities for Senior Management personnel. Serves as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for facility and maintenance contract, all minor construction, repair projects, and housekeeping functions. Helps to determine the total budgetary requirements to support the assigned facilities operations, maintenance, repair plans, training and TDY requirements.
Writes or reviews specifications for the maintenance or repair of facilities to include the description of materials and work methods to be followed.
