This vacancy is for a GS-0101-12, Family Advocacy Specialist (Clinical) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Base Alameda in PETALUMA, California.
You will serve as a Family Advocacy Specialist (Clinical) and be responsible for ensuring with the Congressional mandates to prevent and reduce family maltreatment Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Serving as a mental healthcare provider in clinical consultation and differential diagnosis treatment planning. Ensuring all aspects of the Coast Guard Family Advocacy Program (FAP) are completed in each case including reporting and intervention, risk assessment and appropriated coordination of safety measures, case management, referrals, and follow-ups. Regularly reviewing treatment plans with clients and making adjustments as needed to ensure optimum results. Providing FAP awareness training and other prevention program.
