Job Summary
This position is located in the FDIC's Division of Risk Management Supervision. RMS examines and supervises insured financial institutions, leads sound policy development, and monitors and responds to existing and emerging risks to the Nation's banking system. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill similar vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates board composition, governance, and responsibilities to determine independence, regulatory compliance, and level of oversight. Evaluates the effectiveness of audit programs and the adequacy of the institution's internal routine and control systems. Reviews and assesses relationships and transactions with affiliates and insiders for compliance with laws, regulations, and institution policies.
Reviews moderately complex to complex loan files to evaluate performance and credit risk and determines adherence to the institution's policy. Evaluates the institution's underwriting and credit administration practices. Reviews institution repossessions and other real estate (ORE) for proper documentation, accounting treatment, financial reporting, insurance coverage, and compliance with laws and regulations.
