This position is located in the Division of Finance, Financial Operations and is responsible for developing, revising, and monitoring the implementation of financial and operating policies and procedures for Financial Operations. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill similar vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.
At the full performance level, major duties include: Studies, designs, revises and installs procedural and other requirements as related to Financial Operations activities of the Corporation. These will include procedures in the following areas: accounting, administrative controls, financial reports and their use, and cost distributions. Prepares and submits reports of findings and determines the need for change or adaptation based on the findings.
Prepares manuals, procedures, policies, instructional issuances, training materials, forms and documents flow. Designs and prepares technical reports which provide management with information related to workflows and activities, as well as operational performance. Analyzes reconciliation problems involving multiple automated accounting systems and executes corrective actions to the reconciliation problems.
Analyzes the cause of the reconciliation problems and recommends system enhancements to reduce manual intervention and increase the efficiency of the operations. Receives requests from program officials for new policies or clarification of existing policies. Researches and analyzes needs and legal requirements and prepares appropriate response. Reviews and prepares written evaluations on Corporation policy changes impacting the Financial Operations area.
