This National Guard position is for a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST -Title 32, Position Description Number D2371P01 and is part of the WI USPFO, Wisconsin National Guard.
As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST -Title 32, GS-0501-9, you will provide professional wide spectrum pay operations (Military Pay, Civilian Pay, Accounts Payable and Travel pay) support to Soldiers of the WIARNG. This position serves as the subject matter expert for day-to-day processing across the various systems utilized within the section and to serve as liaison with adjacent departments as needed. Professional pay services include the examination, analysis, presentation, and interpretation of pay entitlements to Soldiers, Civilians, and Vendors. The incumbent is responsible for possessing extensive knowledge of all pay operations managed by the Pay and Exam Branch and is expected to resolve the most complex pay issues through thorough research, review, and application of current and prior pay and tax laws, regulations, and entitlements. The role requires consistent application of all relevant pay and tax policies to each case while ensuring all work is processed in accordance with established guidelines, regulations, and procedures. The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the State's command structure as well as external agencies, including Financial Services and the National Guard Bureau. Additionally, the position assists in training and developing the Financial Services Technicians assigned to the section and performs other duties as assigned. Substitution of Education for GS/09 Specialized Experience. Completed master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. The awarded college degree should be in one of -or- be a combination of the following disciplines: Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management or Finance. *You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
