Job Summary

Joining the Secret Service, Office of Protective Operations, Presidential Protective Division or Vice Presidential Protective Division will allow you to develop, analyze, and evaluate financial management program planning and recommendations, which are designed to implement effective and efficient financial management operations, budget formulation/analysis and evaluation of budget execution. Key Responsibilities

The selectee will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Office of Protective Operations, Presidential Protective Division or Vice Presidential Protective Division. Typical work assignments include: Executes, monitors and reviews obligations, expenditures, reimbursable orders, requests for allotments, and other special requests through examination of financial records, continuing dialogue with program officials and review of written documentation.

Performs a full range of complex analytical work associated with financial management and budgeting functions, including, but not limited to the formulation, justification, presentation and execution of the operating budgets controlled by OPO.

Serves as the senior advisor on financial management and budget execution for OPO division programs, including, but not limited to responsibility for formulating, justifying, presenting, executing, monitoring and obligating OPO division programs and special events budgets.

Serves as liaison and collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to Headquarters, Department of Homeland Security, and Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to identify and correct financial discrepancies in billings. This Financial Management Analyst position starts at a salary of $121,785, GS-13 step 1, with promotion potential to $158,322 GS-13 step 10.
