Job Summary
This position is located within Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), Financial Management Directorate (FMD), Funds Control and Resource Management Division (FMDC). FMDC supports the Chief Financial Executive (CFE) in the execution, control, and oversight of appropriated and revolving funds for the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW), the Office of the Director of Administration and Management (ODA&M)
Key Responsibilities
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Develops and implements internal procedures and policies that support the financial management of the funds control and budget execution processes. Identifies fiscal, budgetary, and accounting vulnerabilities affecting WHS and OSW accounts and recommends solutions to major execution challenges.
Reviews, interprets, and ensures compliance with appropriations law, financial legislation, authorization and appropriations committee reports, and related guidance. Provides advice to senior leaders, supervisors, team leads, managers, and customer counterparts on all phases of the execution and funds control processes. Provides advice and guidance on financial policies, internal controls, resource management concepts, and execution strategies.
Prepares and presents special studies concerning resource impacts, complex execution issues, and other financial analyses requiring coordination with senior managers across the enterprise.
