Job Summary
This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for Financially managing individual Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs for foreign countries providing advice and guidance on all financial aspects of these programs.
Key Responsibilities
As a Financial Management Specialist at the GS-0501-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Financial Analysis and Reporting: Analyze daily/monthly DFAS reports to monitor account health and prepare quarterly special bills.
Leadership in Financial Management Reviews: Lead Financial Management Reviews for assigned partners, ensuring policy compliance and effective financial management Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain close collaboration with DSCA, Army, Navy, Air Force, DFAS, DoS, and U.S. Military Group colleagues to address partner financial issues and stay up-to-date on applicable policy initiatives.
Policy and Legislative Input: Prepare briefings and papers for senior DSCA leadership, coordinate with DoS and OSW Policy on case specific issues and FMF management, and provide input on policy documents related to security cooperation.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
