This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Management Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties: Provides expert guidance to employees and management through on-the-spot counseling regarding the interpretation and application of the Joint Travel Regulations. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for administrative practices.

Maintain various tracking databases including travel requests and training documentation, Manage administrative guidelines for processing travel requests, settling travel vouchers, and archiving travel documents. Responsible for the control and coordination of all required actions to support successful travel for military soldiers and Civilian employees, that includes reviewing and approving travel authorizations and vouchers.

Monitor and review travelers' Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) balances. Master Defense travel regulations and provide interpretations, recommendations, and solutions to the Approving Officials for any travel processing issues. Train and assist personnel (e.g., travelers, users, authorizing officials, certifying officials, reviewing officials) with travel regulations, policies, and procedures.
