Job Summary

As a Financial Operations and Systems Analyst at the GS-0501-13/14, you will be part of the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will serve as a senior financial advisor responsible for financial systems, reporting, internal controls, cost estimation, procurement financial support, and budget execution to ensure accurate, compliant, and effective financial management.

Key Responsibilities

Leads financial systems improvements by developing business requirements, accounting guidance, and standard operating procedures for financial operations. Analyzes and resolves financial reporting, reconciliation, and system issues to ensure accurate financial statements and Treasury reporting. Evaluates and strengthens internal controls by supporting audit activities, assessing system access, and improving financial data integrity.

Develops cost estimates, reviews contractor proposals, and provides financial analysis to support acquisitions and procurement decisions. Monitors budget execution, reconciles financial data, and recommends funding adjustments to optimize the use of agency resources. Leads multiple financial projects, collaborates with stakeholders, and provides financial advice to support organizational priorities.
