You will serve as a Fish and Wildlife Biologist with US Fish and Wildlife Service as a Senior Fish and Wildlife Biologist and technical advisor in one of the following field offices: Starkville, Mississippi; Hattiesburg, Mississippi; or Jackson Mississippi. Pay will vary based on grade level and/or duty location for which you're selected. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate. GS-12: $89,508 - $116,362 per annum
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Conducts comprehensive habitat restoration and enhancement on private lands including planning, contracting with landowners, mapping, surveying, implementation, construction monitoring, seeding, and post-restoration monitoring to restore natural ecosystems and support federally listed and at-risk species in coordination with other Service programs.
Works with National, State, and local conservation organizations to develop partnerships that leverage Service resources for habitat work. Represent the Service at professional and other meetings, including steering committees and working groups, to further habitat enhancement and restoration on private lands while providing technical assistance and regulatory information to other Service programs and Federal and state agencies to ensure satisfy requirements of the Act.
Trains, mentors, and coordinates work efforts between private lands staff and other team members, when applicable, and provides quality control on agreements and accomplishment reporting.

Foreign Education: To receive credit for education completed outside the United States, you must show proof that the education has been submitted to a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials and such education has been deemed at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs.
