About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Child Development Center. Must pass a physical examination, and have required immunizations. Must be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training.
Sets up food carts by cleaning and setting up necessary condiments, plates, cups, flatware, serving utensils and other items. Prepares fruits and vegetables for cooking and serving by washing, peeling, scraping, and dicing. Cut and shreds lettuce, slices tomatoes, cuts lemons and opens cans. Portions out food by placing uniform amount in serving dishes. Cleans equipment in kitchen. Wash dishes, pots, pans, glasses, and flatware. Operates mechanical dishwasher. Sweeps, and mops floors. Dispose of food waste and trash. Moves heavy garbage cans and assists in unloading supply trucks and storing heavy supplies.
