General Engineer for the Whiteriver Service Unit in Whiteriver, AZ. Position will provide professional engineering and/or consultation and assistance in design and construction of health care facilities, staff housing units, site improvements and other related physical plant faciltiies and equipment. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Participates with key agency personnel and tribal government representatives who are responsible for defining the goals of a project, working with them to prepare a master plan for accomplishing such goals. Prepares engineering and support cost estimates to achieve the goals of the master plan. Prepares schedules for completion of the project, implementing a system for review, control and reporting on the project status. Monitors and assesses effectiveness of contractors in meeting contractual requirements, technical and administrative. Provides input to the management system for internal control of projects to include assignment, tracking, reporting, output and coordination. Serves as the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) on a variety of contracts for the service unit. Maintains contract file system from development, pre-award, post-award, and termination or closure. Enforces all safety, health, and environmental requirements.
