Key Responsibilities

As a General Engineer at the NH-0801-3 some of your typical work assignments may include: Experience in applying engineering principles, practices, theories or methods to resolve technical issues. Evaluating the adequacy and acceptability of technical products produced from contract plans and documentation to meet test objectives, requirements, and intended purpose.

Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers, information sources and project team members to manage test activities. Coordinating with management, labs and contractors to ensure work is done on schedule, technical problems are resolved and relationships are maintained. Formulating and presenting briefings to provide leadership situational awareness and decision trade space.

Applying configuration management practices to the functional and physical attributes of system hardware and software for configuration control and approval of formal test documentation.

Requirements & Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. All materials must be submitted by the closing date of the announcement.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
