Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! What to Expect: Operates a variety of lawn mowers designed for golf course and trimming equipment such as weed whips, brush cutter, hand saws, pruning and hand sheers. Operates tractors and towed or attached equipment to include, but not limited to; gang mowers, aerators, plows, harrows, chippers, sprayers, post-hole diggers. Works on level or rolling terrain in such areas as open fields, golf courses, lawns, and along roadways.
Other duties include, but not limited to; picking up trash, applying fertilizers and pesticides, seed propagation, sodding, planting flowers and shrubs and watering, raking traps, moving tee markers and hole location on greens. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Work requires light to moderate physical effort in performing duties such as operating tractors and uncoupling and making couplings between tractors and towed vehicles. Lifts and carries objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Exposed to weather and temperature extremes outside, as well as high noise levels, vibrations, and jolts from tractor and towed equipment. Performs other related duties as assigned.
