The primary purpose of this position is: As an Air Reserve Technician (ART), to serve as the Senior Support Staff Specialist at the group level organization. The Group Senior Support Staff Specialist advises, carries out, and monitors the commander/director's and organizational policies, programs, and standards applicable to the assigned force. Additionally, provides training to reservists in the accomplishment of the tasks set forth herein.
DUTIES: The Group Senior Support Staff Specialist is the commander/director's key advocate and advisor on readiness, training, professional development, utilization of the force, operations tempo, standards, conduct, and quality of life. Performs a variety of duties that ensure the efficient functioning of force. Monitors and ensures compliance of training and equipping force for deployment taskings.
Advises the senior rater on promotions and performance reports and assists/advises in the selection and nomination of Chief/Senior Leader for positions of greater responsibility. Evaluates the quality of leadership, management, and supervisory training.
