The primary purpose of this position is to independently perform a wide range of special handling warehousing activities, including receiving, inspecting, storing, selecting, shipping, and preparing originating and terminating hazardous, explosive, ammunition and other shipments requiring special handling for onward movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspects hazardous materials, explosives, ammunition, special cargo documentation and packaging in accordance with applicable DoD, Air Force (AF), Air Mobility Command (AMC) and civilian directives. - Performs a broad range of specific storage assignments as directed by AF and civilian directives. - Performs tasks involved in issuing and shipping items. - Perform comprehensive inventories ensuring resource protection.
- Drives one or more types of vehicles/equipment, such as pickup, panel, and flatbed trucks, tractor trailers, aircraft loading vehicles which typically have a gross vehicle weight of over 32,000 pounds.
