The primary purpose of this position is to independently perform a wide range of special handling terminal/warehousing activities, including receiving, inspecting, storing, selecting, shipping, and preparing originating and terminating hazardous, explosive, ammunition and other shipments requiring special handling for onward movement.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspects hazardous materials, explosives, ammunition, special cargo documentation and packaging in accordance with applicable DoD, AF, AMC and civilian directives. - Performs comprehensive inventories ensuring the protection of resources and executes a broad range of specific storage assignments as directed by AF and civilian directives. - Performs tasks involved in receiving and shipping items.

Consolidates and palletizes air outbound hazardous, explosive, ammunition, and other shipments requiring special handling. - Drives one or more types of vehicles/equipment, such as pickup, panel, and flatbed trucks, which typically have a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds or less.
