This position is located at the VA Medical Center (VAMC), in Asheville North Carolina, within the Eligibility and Enrollment Department of the Health Administration Service (HAS).
Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers of varying backgrounds. Coordinate with multiple services to assist customers with form completion and determine eligibility for VA care. Serve as advisor and expert to HAS Section Chiefs, supporting management information for health eligibility-related programs and special registries.
Act as Enrollment & Eligibility representative at outreach events, helping veterans determine eligibility and distributing materials. Make eligibility determinations for VA healthcare, run data reports for unverified applications, manage errors, and update demographic info. Review, verify, and analyze submitted data for consistency with financial and program objectives, and adherence to VA directives.
