The position is assigned to the Business Office of the VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System and performs a broad range of administrative duties to support Patient Benefits and registration and intake activities within the Medical Center. This includes supporting the business unit that administers health and related benefits within an integrated system of VA health care resources and health care access points.
Duties may include but are not limited to: Patient Benefits Program Support Clinic Scheduling Administrative Support Decedent Affairs Personal Funds of Patients (PFOP) Duties Assists in other areas such as Personal Funds of Patients, basic Medical Cost Care Fund functions(MCCFF), National Registry Data input, and financial technician functions. Employee serves as the initial contact for employees, applicants, Veterans, and others requesting program information and services.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
