Major Duties

The Regional Health Services Administrator (RHSA) is responsible for all administrative aspects for the entire health care program within the region. Maintains and develops broad program mission goals and objectives that complement and support the health care mission of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) as defined by the Assistant Director, Health Services Division. Develops and initiates staff training throughout the region in areas related to health care administration. Responsible for planning, programming, budgeting, implementing, directing, and evaluating the administrative aspects of the medical program. Responsible for the development, preparation, and coordination of the regional budget for all institutions within the region. Uses historical data on costs and obligations to analyze the trends in the delivery of health care.
