This vacancy is for a GS-0671-12, Health Systems Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, HSWL MEDICAL ADMINISTRATION DIVISION in San Antonio, TX.
You will serve as a Health Systems Specialist and be responsible for new and established projects and programs supporting network (TRICARE) health/dental care delivery. You will be working under the Health Safety Work-Life organization, coordinating activities and actions to support access and utilization of contracted network health services by CG members and their eligible family members. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Understand insurance policy and types of Tricare insurance requirements and be able to liaison with contracted insurance to ensure compliance. Understand access to care requirements, benefits of military members and their dependents and be able to educate others on these requirements/benefits. Monitor healthcare program performance by using analytics to inform Coast Guard Leadership. Administrative ability to create presentation to share healthcare analytics with a variety of stakeholders.
