This position is located at Shiprock Service Unit (SRSU), Northern Navajo Medical Center, Division of Community Health, Shiprock, NM. The incumbent assists the Supervisory Physician of the Health Education Center for Wellness by providing a variety of tasks involving direct patient care and education to individuals, families and communities within the Service Unit. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Educates patients and families on HIV treatment, medication regimens, disease monitoring, prevention, health promotion, and self-care.
Coordinates HIV care and community services with healthcare providers, community organizations, and resource centers to support patient needs and access to care. Supports HIV and public health programs through program planning, community screening initiatives, outreach, data tracking, information sharing, and promotion of program services.
Performs quality assurance activities by monitoring performance improvement efforts, collecting and reporting data, conducting equipment quality controls, and managing supplies and equipment.
