The purpose of this position is to provide direct patient care and clerical technical, and administrative support in the Send/Out/Phlebotomy and waived testing area. This position is located at the Chinle Service unit, Division of Clinical Services, Laboratory Department in Chinle, Arizona. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).
Provide direct patient care and perform phlebotomy and specimen collection. Identify patients and properly label, handle, and process specimens. Prepare and send laboratory specimens to outside/reference laboratories. Perform waived laboratory testing according to established procedures. Monitor and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory. Order, receive, organize, and restock unit supplies. Follow laboratory safety, infection-control, and quality-assurance procedures.
