You will serve as a Historic Preservation Training Center Manager within the Washington Support Office in the Directorate of Park, Planning, Facilities, & Lands (PPFL). Established in 1977, Historic Preservation Training Center is headquartered within the historic Gambrill House at Monocacy National Battlefield in Frederick, Maryland. The Historic Preservation Training Center has a mission that is dedicated to the safe preservation and maintenance of national parks or partner facilities.
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Oversees all day-to-day operations of the Historic Preservation Training Center, including budgeting, personnel management, work assignments, and staff development. Making decisions on hiring, performance, training, and workflow oversight. Directs, implements, and evaluates the National Park Service Historic Preservation Program overseeing carpentry, woodwork, masonry, facility maintenance and construction support. Analyzes code compliance, regulations, guidelines, policy affecting preservation practices and provide technical guidance and briefing materials to senior National Park Service leadership.
This position does not allow substituting education for experience.
