The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position. Communicates the Service's mission, vision, and values to team members and ensures integration into overall HCO goals, objectives, strategies, work plans, and products and services.
Provides briefings and reports for senior level management and executives regarding program status and work assignments. Monitors work at enterprise level to identify trends and risks and ensure adherence to program policies/priorities, work methods, quality guidelines, and established deadlines.
Leads the development, analysis, and evaluation of proposed Service wide onboarding and employee experience policies and provides recommendations to executive leadership regarding implementation strategies, operational impacts, and risk mitigation.
Follows, supports, and communicates with staff applicable federal and IRS servicewide policies for Chief Finance Office (CFO), Communications and Liaison (C&L), Facilities Management and Security Services (FMSS), Human Capital Office (HCO), Information Technology (IT), Privacy, Government Liaison and Disclosure (PGLD) and Procurement.
Articulates roles and responsibilities for shared understanding of business processes among Business Unit leaders, stakeholders, and within orientation teams. Regularly communicates and escalates concerns with BU senior leaders to ensure all required activities are completed for successful new hire onboarding. Plans, develops, schedules, and coordinates in-person, and virtual, onboarding and Orientation & Experience activities using appropriate HR systems and technologies.
Collaborates with BU leadership and key stakeholders in FMSS, HCO, and IT to successfully execute onboarding. STANDARD POSITION DESCRIPTIONS (SPD): PD24506 Visit the IRS SPD Library to access the position descriptions.
A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
