Job Summary

The Smithsonian Institution is the world's largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in The Office of Protection Services with the Smithsonian Institution. The Office of Protection Services (OPS) is responsible for overseeing a large museum/complex law enforcement and security program, and leading and providing protection throughout the Smithsonian Institution (SI).

Key Responsibilities

The Human Resources Liaison (HRL) is responsible for developing, implementing, and/or managing personnel and HR functions. In this position, you will: GS-11/GS-12 Ensure that position descriptions are accurately classified in accordance with the applicable classification standards for the proposed series and grade, and that they reflect the correct pay plan, occupational series, official title, and grade level.

Analyze Trust and Federal budgets, staffing, and workload data to provide guidance on staffing options, administrative support functions, and program operations. Serve as the OPS's subject matter expert on HR systems, utilizing Office 365, timekeeping, and personnel management systems to support operations and mission requirements.
