Job Summary

This position is part of the Office of Human Resources. As a Human Resources Specialist, you will provide guidance on retirement and benefits matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

Major Duties

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will: Provide interpretation and guidance on federal employee benefits programs, including retirement (FERS/CSRS), FEHB, FEGLI, TSP, Workers Compensation, leave, and work-life programs, and related laws, regulations, and policies. Research, interpret, and resolve benefits issues involving retirement, insurance, service credit, and other benefits entitlements, and recommending appropriate actions to employees and management. Deliver counseling, presentations and technical assistance to customers on benefits topics.
